GTH Welcomes Dustin Dickson & Amina Abdalla to the team

Our Olympia team is growing! GTH is pleased to welcome two new team members.

Dustin Dickson joins GTH as a Government Affairs Consultant, and will conduct research and provide client consulting services as part of the SLED consulting team.

Dustin joins the firm after several years with Washington State. He most recently served as the executive board assistant for the Liquor and Cannabis Board, reporting directly to Board Chair David Postman. Prior to his service at LCB, Dustin provided support to the Governor’s policy and senior policy team, focusing his efforts on general government, education, economic development, and parks. He is also the immediate past chair of the Washington State Executive Assistant’s Group.

Amina Abdalla joins GTH as a State Lobbyist, and will work with Briahna Murray‘s team representing cities in Olympia.

Prior to joining GTH, Amina served as an in-house lobbyist for over 5,000 adult family homes in Washington State. In this role, she tackled a myriad of complex issues affecting adult family home providers. Amina conducted comprehensive research and crafted strategic responses tailored to various advocacy channels, ensuring that the unique challenges faced by these providers were effectively addressed. Her work involved not only engaging with state agencies but also influencing legislative processes and negotiating through collective bargaining. Amina’s efforts were instrumental in driving impactful change, and empowering adult family home providers to better serve their communities.

Prior to her tenure with the Adult Family Home Council, Amina was an advocate for grassroots organizations, where she focused on pressing issues that affected marginalized communities. Through her advocacy work, Amina has consistently demonstrated her ability to amplify voices that often go unheard, making her a formidable force in the realm of public policy and advocacy.

Please join us in welcoming Dustin and Amina to the team!
